I. Properties and Uses
EDTMPS is a nitrogen-containing organic polyphosphonic acid, which is a cathodic-type corrosion inhibitor with a corrosion inhibition rate 3 to 5 times higher than that of inorganic polyphosphates. This compound is miscible with water, is chemically stable and does not produce toxicity or contaminants. It also has good chemical stability and temperature resistance, and is still effective in preventing scale formation at 200°C. EDTMPS can dissociate into 8 positive and negative ions in aqueous solution, so it can form chelating compounds with a variety of metal ions to form a macromolecular reticulation complex of multiple monomer structures, which are loosely dispersed in the water, disrupting the normal crystallization process of calcium scales.EDTMPS is effective against EDTMPS has good scale inhibition effect on calcium sulfate and barium sulfate scale.
EDTMPS is widely used as corrosion and scale inhibitor for circulating water and boiler water, cyanide-free electroplating complexing agent, chelating agent and oxygen bleaching stabilizer in textile printing and dyeing industry.

Usage

When EDTMPS is independently dosed in circulating cooling water, it is generally recommended to use a dosage of 2-10mg/L. EDTMPS can be used in low-pressure boiler water treatment after compounding with HPMA in the ratio of 1:3. In addition, EDTMPS can be compounded with BTA, PAAS, zinc salt and other substances.

Packing and storage
EDTMPS is packed in plastic drums, the weight of each drum is 25kg, which is determined according to the user's demand. It should be stored in a cool and indoor place, and the storage period is six months.

Safety Protection
EDTMPS is a neutral substance, attention should be paid to labor protection during operation, avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc., if contacted inadvertently, it should be flushed with plenty of water immediately.
