PBTCA: It can form insoluble precipitates with calcium, magnesium and other metal ions, preventing the deposition and scaling of hard water salts. It also maintains good scale inhibition performance at high temperatures and is suitable for scale inhibition applications in high temperature environments.
EDTMPS (Ethylenediamine Tetramethylene Phosphonic Acid): It has excellent metal chelating ability, and can form stable complexes with a variety of metal ions, effectively blocking the precipitation and scaling of metal ions. It is especially suitable for controlling the scaling of calcium and magnesium ions in water, and can effectively prevent the generation of limestone and chalk.
Corrosion inhibition performance:
PBTCA: With certain corrosion inhibition performance, it can form a protective film on the metal surface and reduce the corrosion reaction between metal and water.
EDTMPS: As a cathodic type corrosion inhibitor, it has a high corrosion inhibition rate, but its direct corrosion inhibition performance may be slightly inferior compared to PBTCA.
Tolerance to impurities:
PBTCA: It is more adaptable to the change of water quality, and can play a stable scale inhibition effect under different water quality conditions.
EDTMPS: It has less influence on the interference of organic and inorganic impurities in water, and its stability is also stronger.
